VU Model is IMVU’s official modeling agency.
VU Models represent the highest calibre of creativity with an avatar and we consider them the best visual artists and influencers of the IMVU community at large. Additionally VU Models demonstrate the values of IMVU and what it means to connect with others through the power of self expression in their avatars.
Everyday, we celebrate the talents of IMVU users who create extraordinary avatars on the Discover Feed and in social media ... not just the 3D meshing or Photoshop variety…but a head to toe avatar transformation from carefully selected DNA, outfit, and accessories to create an incredible look. We know that you spend a lot of time creating the perfect style and VU Model is your opportunity to be recognized as an expert, featured to our massive IMVU community, and possibly earn IMVU supermodel status with influence inside and outside of IMVU.

Want to model for IMVU?
We have simplified the VU Model application process in order for more users to have a chance to be selected. Certainly, some of our requirements still apply. In the application, we will ask you for your avatar name, an email address for verification and more official communications, and a photo from your IMVU Feed that best represents your unique style as well as your avatar DNA (outfit).
As we review your application, we will be checking to make sure that your account is in good standing. Along with our panel of judges, we will choose winners from the applicants regularly and announce new VU Models every month. Once you are a VU Model, we will be featuring your avatar on our official IMVU accounts, Discover Feed, Creator Showcase, and promotions. This is your opportunity to be discovered and celebrated by millions of other IMVU users.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for users who are active on our Feed and demonstrating a high level of creativity, a unique vision for your avatar, the ability to tell a story with an image, and regular photos visible on your Feed. We want people who are actively using IMVU in chat rooms, shopping, and taking photos capturing all of their favorite moments with their friends! Your photos don’t have to be just yourself - we love group shots, photos with friends, location shots, all your best IMVU moments.
What You Get
Winners will be announced on Discover and viewed by millions of IMVU users! We will also add your account to a special priority list for appearing repeatedly on Discover. Further we will use your avatar DNA(outfit) in IMVU advertising - just like a real model your likeness will appear on official banners, ads, social media etc! The winner will also receive 50,000 credits!
Ongoing Participation
We may contact you about revising an aspect of your look at any point in the future. This would be to match a new outfit or appearance, if we can’t do it ourselves without losing “your look”. We ask for an email address for this reason.
Rules & Exclusivity
No stolen content. We want the models to represent the best original style of the community. This means using products from accounts in good standing. No disabled accounts or stolen merchandise will be accepted to the program. As a representative of the IMVU brand and the program you agree to adhere to GA items only to make up your avatar submission, and abide by DMCA (any branded content or trademarked material) requirements and restrictions. You may still post AP items and content on your personal feeds as long as it is within the Community Guidelines. Failure to do so will result in immediate and irrevocable termination of your position in the program.
Owned Assets
IMVU will do their best to maintain the integrity of your avatar and identity when posting. However, IMVU will reserve the right to change avatar outfits, hair, and other aspects if absolutely necessary for maintaining quality appearance on branded content. IMVU wants your avatar to still look like “you” but will behave as a model and change outfits and hair as necessary. IMVU will not change your stated required items.
Safety & Privacy
IMVU will only release/credit your avatar name. We don’t require your real life name or information and will not release any personal information.
